πŸ’› Cards for E. : A Friend Mourning the Unimaginable

A few weeks ago, I invited our community to send cards to the family of 12-year-old Emery, who tragically lost her life after being struck by a distracted driver using his phone (read more HERE) . The response was full of heartfelt compassion, and I am so grateful for every single one of you who sent your love.

Today, I’m placing a very special request—
✨ Cards for E., Emery’s dear friend, who was right beside her when the accident happened.

E. is just 13 years old and witnessed the unimaginable. She was found in deep shock and has been completely heartbroken and traumatized by the loss of her best friend.

Ella and Emery were friends at their ballet studio. They shared laughs, snacks, and dreams—often walking together during breaks to grab a treat nearby. On the heartbreaking evening of April 25th, they had gone out for burgers and were returning to the studio when tragedy struck.

Life hasn’t been the same for E. since that night.

πŸ’Œ How You Can Help

We are inviting you to send a small card, filled with love and light, to bring comfort to Ella during this difficult time.

Please keep in mind Ella’s young age. Short, gentle, and encouraging messages are perfect. Here are some thoughtful ideas you might include:

Positive affirmation cards
Yellow dried flowers
Ballet-themed stickers or tiny gifts
Butterflies
“Life is better when you dance” messages
Small, joyful encouragements

Her mom shared with us:

“Ella is quite heartbroken, and knowing that others care about her—even the smallest gestures—means the world. It’s been really hard lately, but the love from friends and even strangers continues to bring us so much comfort.”

Let’s be part of that comfort. Let’s remind her she’s not alone. Email us for the address: loveitforwardlist@gmail.com
