Lately, I’ve been folding origami hearts and leaving them in different places—on park benches, cafΓ© tables, and even tucked into library books. Each one carries love, hope, and a reminder that kindness is never wasted.
I started this small act in memory of Emery Chalekian, a beautiful 12-year-old girl whose life ended far too soon. Emery radiated love, and spreading these hearts is my way of keeping her light alive in the world. Read more about her here.
What I’ve learned along the way is that something as simple as a paper heart can spark connection. A stranger who finds one may smile, pause, or feel comforted in ways we’ll never know. These tiny gestures ripple outward, touching lives beyond what we can see.
And that’s the gift of love in action: it multiplies.
I want to invite you to join me in this movement of remembrance and kindness. Fold a heart, write a word of encouragement inside, and leave it somewhere for someone to discover. Each heart becomes a quiet messenger of love, carrying Emery’s legacy forward and reminding the world that compassion matters.
Together, we can create a trail of hearts—scattered everywhere—whispering: You are loved. You are not alone.
π For Emery. Always remembered. Always inspiring.
