Chris Turns 21 – Let’s Fill His Hospital Room with Cards

Steve and his wife Hannah are facing an unimaginable crisis. Their 20-year-old son, Chris, suffered severe 2nd- and 3rd-degree burns in a devastating house fire that destroyed their home in East Alton, IL.

Chris had his first of many surgeries on February 25 and is currently receiving intensive care. Doctors expect him to remain in the hospital for at least 1–2 months, followed by rehabilitation. The emotional and physical toll on the family has been overwhelming, but they are staying strong for Chris with deep faith.

His 21st birthday is this month, and his parents are hoping to flood his hospital room with birthday cards. Even if he may not be able to open his eyes right away, he can hear his parents read them aloud—and later see the love surrounding him.
