Ann Rogers is 82 years old. Her husband and one of her sons passed away many years ago. Then, at the beginning of this year, her second son died from liver failure, leaving her completely alone. Right after his passing, she had emergency heart surgery. This past week, she underwent another emergency surgery for a severe infection in her knee. She is currently at Deaconess Union County Hospital, several hours away from her church family, doing rehab. She will be mostly alone for the next few months as she recovers.
Ann has always been a bright light. She is an avid card and letter writer — she used to send monthly cards to so many people just to let them know they were being thought of. Now more than ever, she would love to receive that same kindness.
