On December 10th, 2025, while walking on a hiking trail in Savannah, Georgia, Ashley, 46 years old, was violently attacked by a stranger. A man poured acid on her in an unprovoked act of cruelty. Ashley sustained second- and third-degree burns over 50% of her body.
We invited volunteers to write Ashley a card. Words of compassion, strength, and care truly matter. Gentle encouragement, reminders that she is not alone, and messages of hope can bring light during an unimaginably dark time.
That's what her sister told us: "She has recived so much and it has been overwhelming but in a very, very positive way. Thank you so much for including her in this mission. She just a couple of weeks ago had her first hair transplant to the area most affected by 4th degree burns and is undergoing laser treatments each month on her burn sites. Overall healing is miraculous and most will likely never even notice that something this horrific happened to her. We appreciate all that you’ve done.".
